Acrylic Painting 101

Students learned how to mix color values and use what they learned in an abstract flower painting   in honor of Spring. Mixing colors and creating color values as well as learning about color theory is a strong foundation in painting. plus it is magical! To mix colors to really "see"colors for the very first time is exciting! Our next series will be in acrylic techniques and a study of flowers at Weymoth Garden. The students will observe, draw take digital photos of flowers as reference for their paintings.
